SC/ST Grievance Redressal Cell

In compliance with the guidelines of the Government of India and as per the directions issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Committee has been constituted in the institution. The primary objective of this committee is to ensure the continuous welfare, support, and development of students and staff belonging to the reserved categories. Additionally, the committee serves as a grievance redressal platform, enabling SC/ST members to report and resolve any issues or challenges they may encounter within the institution.

Objectives

  • To ensure the institution remains free from caste-based discrimination and promotes an inclusive environment.
  • To implement and support measures for the welfare of SC/ST students and employees.
  • To guide SC/ST students in availing various schemes, scholarships, and welfare programs.
  • To sensitize teaching and non-teaching staff about constitutional provisions, UGC guidelines, and institutional responsibilities.

Functions

  • Act as a grievance redressal cell for SC/ST students and staff to resolve academic, administrative, or social concerns.
  • Address complaints related to admission, recruitment, promotion, and other institutional matters.
  • Circulate notifications, orders, and decisions issued by the Government of India and UGC.
  • Collect data on education, training, and employment of SC/ST candidates.
  • Monitor remedial coaching schemes and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Prepare reports on admissions, education, training, and employment status of SC/ST members.
  • Maintain a grievance register for complaints raised by SC/ST members.

Process of Submitting a Complaint

  • Submit a complaint using the provided link.
  • Use the online grievance portal on the institution’s website.
  • Register a written complaint in the complaint register in the Principal’s office.
